We're not cocky - Brogan

BERNARD BROGAN insists All-Ireland champions Dublin won't fall prey to cockiness at Croke Park this Sunday - because they have learned from bitter experience against Royal underdogs.

The Dubs are 4/11 favourites to see off Meath in defence of their Leinster SFC crown, but Brogan (right) believes they have learned an invaluable lesson from the last championship collision in 2010 when the Sky Blues leaked five goals.

"I think we underestimated them," admitted Dublin's go-to forward, who finished 2010 as Footballer of the Year.

"We were probably a bit cocky coming into the game and maybe looking further down the year. That is something that we have suffered from in previous years.

"So we learned from that result in 2010. It stood to us. We won't be underestimating them," he stressed. "It's going to be a huge challenge. They'll have loads of confidence."
