Wenger's SOS for Milan showdown
FIREFIGHTER Arsene Wenger is on a mission to save Arsenal's season against AC Milan and keep the Premier League flag flying in the Champions League.
"The crisis at the moment in England is a bit like fire," Wenger said. "It moves very quickly from one club to another. It's a fire with strong wind so you have to be a bit cautious because it can quickly come back. The wind can blow it quickly back."
Wenger is ready to turn to Thierry Henry for one more fairytale chapter in the Arsenal legend's remarkable career.
"He can do it again, especially on a territory where he will be highly motivated - he comes on with that certainty and says 'OK, let's deliver'," Wenger said.
However, another Highbury hero Dennis Bergkamp has given a scathing assessment of his former club's current strength.
"Sometimes you need more of a winning mentality than a passing mentality. I'm not sure Arsenal have enough of that in their players, when the attitude becomes more important than the ability just to pass the ball," said Bergkamp.
"I don't know if the English mentality is missing a little bit. Sometimes I see their games and it's always the same way of playing, a bit too predictable."
