Webster warns his team-mates of 'tricky tie' at Killie after Old Firm win
Andy Webster (pictured) has told Rangers to forget their Old Firm win and focus on tonight's league cup tie at Kilmarnock.
The defender, who did not make the squad on Sunday, feels the Scottish champions will receive a boost from their win over Celtic, but he knows Rangers will be under pressure to deliver again in the quarter-final.
He said: "Sunday's game was an important one for the boys.
"Going away to Celtic Park and being able to win in the manner in which they did will give them confidence and I'm sure they will kick on from here for the rest of the season. "The boys will be focusing now on the game against Kilmarnock, which is going to be a tricky tie."
Kilmarnock have taken only one point from a possible 12 in the league since their impressive 3-1 win over Hibernian in the previous round. But manager Mixu Paatelainen is confident only a few minor tweaks to their game are needed.
"We've been very br ight, our passing game has been good," he said. "We've made some mistakes and the recent trend has been that any mistake made, the team has punished us."
