Tolka set to give Crumlin the Blues

The hottest rivalry in the LSL is set to be re-ignited tomorrow as Tolka Rovers travel across the city to face champions Crumlin United.

Rovers chased United all the way to the wire in the title charge last season, but it was the Blues that were crowned champions with a game to go.

Tolka claimed a cup double to take the edge off their title disappointment as these two soaked up all the domestic trophies.

This season, though, the sides are in contrasting positions.

Crumlin are playing catch-up in terms of the number of games played, a situation that has left the champions parked in the relegation zone.

The Blues are just getting their internationals back and warmed up for this one with a 4-1 win over Celbridge Town in the Intermediate Cup.

Tolka are in hot pursuit of leaders Drumcondra, but Paul Doyle knows that an early season win over their biggest rivals will be a remarkable confidence booster for his talented squad.
