Thomas Muller hints at Manchester United move
German striker is full of praise for van Gaal
GERMAN World Cup winner Thomas Muller has sparked speculation about a summer move to Old Trafford by opening up about his close relationship with Louis van Gaal.
The United board have promised to back van Gaal with the funds needed to rebuild the squad into one capable of a real title challenge.
And with Champions League qualification for next season all but secure, thoughts have already turned to next season.
United fans have been disappointed with how big-name signings have under-performed at the club but Muller would definitely be a major asset to the club as they try to challenge Chelsea next term, and the German is a big fan of the United boss.
"Louis van Gaal and I have a relationship that goes beyond that which is normal between a player and a coach.
"However, I have a contract with Bayern until 2017," said Muller. "It's a secret for nobody."
Muller's track record with club and country would make it easy for van Gaal to consider a major outlay on the striker.
