Anthony Stokes is expected to complete a £1m move to Celtic in time to make his debut at Motherwell on Sunday.
Hibs and Celtic are close to agreeing a £1m deal with Marco Fortune expected to return to West Brom in a £2m transfer.
Neil Lennon's overhaul of the squad that he inherited from Tony Mowbray will intensify after last nght's mauling from FC Utrecht.
Stokes will go straight into the Celtic side three years after turning down a move to Parkhead to join Roy Keane at Sunderland.
The 22-year-old has been on Celtic's radar throughout the summer after scoring 21 times for Hibs last season and has previous SPL experience with Falkirk, where he scored 14 goals during a five month loan spell.
Lennon refused to comment on the deal after last night's humiliating Europa League exit to Utrecht where Barry Maguire scored the killer fourth goal, but did confirm that there would be further transfer activity.
The Celtic boss said: "It's pretty evident that there are still areas we need to improve on drastically. Hopefully, before the window shuts, we will have something for you.
Discussing the defeat Lennon said: "What I said afterwards is probably best left to the privacy of the dressing room.
"I'm not just going to blame the players this time. Myself and the staff have to carry the can for this, as well."
