Sterling to sign new deal

Liverpool forward Raheem Sterling will sign a new five-year deal at the club amid interest from Real Madrid and a plethora of Europe's biggest clubs.

The England international, who celebrates his 20th birthday in December, has been in sensational form for the Reds but was rested for Tuesday's Champions League defeat to Real Madrid as manager Brendan Rodgers looks ahead to Saturday's Premier League clash with Chelsea.

Sterling has been rumoured to be Real Madrid's next big signing, but the Anfield club are set to offer him a new deal, trebling his weekly £43,000-a-week to over £120,000-a-week.
