Smith: Firm feelings won't linger

Rangers manager Walter Smith is confident there will be no lingering bad feeling between Ally McCoist and Neil Lennon following their Old Firm bust-up. Ibrox number two McCoist -- who will take over the helm from Smith at the end of the season -- clashed with the Celtic boss after the final whistle of Wednesday's Scottish Cup replay.

"You would have to ask Alistair (McCoist) what happened more than me," said Smith. "Alistair and Neil were on talking terms after the game so I'm sure it's something that won't carry on any further."

Rangers will seek to close the gap on Celtic at the top of the Scottish Premier League when they travel to face St Mirren tomorrow.
