Sean's chance to shine
Preston boss Alex Neil says that Sean Maguire deserves his place in the side on the back of his performances.
Maguire is on a high after scoring his first goal for the Championship since since his July move from Cork City, the 23-year-old on target in the weekend 1-1 draw with Barnsley, and Maguire will keep his place in the team for tonight's league game at home to Cardiff City.
"No-one really knew Sean until this season but his performances when he has played means that he's in my team," says Neil. "Every manager picks what they deem to be their best players at the time, you don't ever pick a team who you think 'oh well I like him so I'm going to play him even though he's not playing well'."
Meanwhile, as struggling Sunderland prepare to face Nottingham Forest tonight, their manager Simon Grayson, says he feels for the supporters.
"I fully understand because they have not just been frustrated for these last three games, it's been the same at the club for a number of years now," says Grayson, hoping to recall Aiden McGeady to the Black Cats side after he picked up an injury on Ireland duty.
