Reid keen to stay on

STEVEN REID hopes he can do enough between now and the end of the season to earn a new deal from West Brom.

The former Ireland man is out of contract in the summer and while the club have an option to extend that for another 12 months there's no guarantee of a new deal, though Reid is eager to stay at the Hawthorns.

"It is games-related and I'm hoping it will just roll on into next season, but I've still got plenty to play for. It is the club's option in the summer so we will wait and see what happens," says Reid, 31.

"I want to carry on playing in the Premier League. A lot of the season has been hampered with a couple of injuries but I just want to keep playing from now until the end of the season."
