GLASGOW Rangers caretaker boss Kenny McDowall is missing nine Light Blues players ahead of tonight's crucial Scottish Championship clash with Hibernian.

Skipper Lee McCulloch and keeper Steve Simonsen both received bans from Hampden chiefs on Thursday which rule them out, while four of the five players recently signed from Newcastle on loan - Gael Bigirimana, Remie Streete, Shane Ferguson and Kevin Mbabu - are injured.

First-choice keeper Cammy Bell (shoulder) remains sidelined so Lee Robinson will start in goal but David Templeton (thigh) is also out, as is Bilel Mohsni after the Tunisian defender returned from the African Nations Cup with a knock.

Richard Foster, meanwhile, has a groin problem and is rated as doubtful for the Ibrox fixture.
