Queens Park Rangers ended their 11-game losing streak away from home in the Premier League by beating Sunderland to provisionally climb out of the relegation zone.

Netherlands midfielder Leroy Fer put the managerless visitors ahead in the 17th minute by heading home a right-wing cross from Matty Phillips.

Phillips was also the supplier for the second goal in first-half injury time by Bobby Zamora (pictured), who hooked home a finish.

Meanwhile, chairman Tony Fernandes suggested he has landed his "dream manager" (said to be Michael Laudrup) as QPR appear close to appointing Harry Redknapp's successor after.
