Preston boss Alex Neil says he has no worries over the ability of new signing Graham Burke to fit in.
Former Shamrock Rovers man Burke makes a return to the League of Ireland tonight as he will line out for Preston in a friendly against Cobh Ramblers, to be played at Turner's Cross.
Former Cork City man Sean Maguire has been on fire in pre-season, with five goals in two games, but Neil is also pleased with Burke.
"Graham's got really good quality and I like the look of what he can offer," Neil said.
"He is still getting used to his team-mates and tactically we still have a wee bit of work to do with him.
"But technically, on the ball, making runs and being a threat, he definitely has the quality."
Neil has included Daryl Horgan in his 25-man squad for a week-long training camp in Cork, despite the winger being linked with a move away from the club.
Meanwhile, former Ireland striker Conor Sammon hopes his career can step up with his move from Hearts to Motherwell.
Sammon (31) spent last season on loan to Patrick Thistle and has now headed out on loan again.
"There's great competition for places here throughout the squad, which I think is a brilliant thing," Sammon said.
"I'm just looking forward to playing a lot of games, scoring a lot of goals, and just being a part of a successful season."
