Pellegrini feels heat
Foxes go joint top but fail to claim another top scalp against lacklustre Citizens
The pressure on Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini rose another notch last night as his lacklustre side were second best but emerged with a point at high-flying Leicester.
With the shadow of Pep Guardiola hovering over the Chilean, City produced another poor display, with Claudio Ranieri's Leicester side left kicking themselves that they didn't add another top Premier League scalp to their list at the King Power Stadium.
Foxes hotshot Jamie Vardy had chances at both sides of the interval to make the breakthrough, but he found City goalkeeper Joe Hart in top form.
City's topsy-turvy season, meanwhile, continued and Pellegrini will be worried by Sergio Aguero, as he struggles to gain fitness and form going into the business end of the season.
The Argentinian striker was taken off by Pellegrini in the 63rd minute and replaced by Wilfried Bony.
Although City remain just three points off top spot, they have taken just four points from a possible nine over the festive period and face a tricky visit to Watford on Saturday.
City's top brass have made Guardiola their prime target to replace Pellegrini next summer.
