Pellegrini coy on return for Hart
Manuel Pellegrini was impressed by Joe Hart's performance for England in midweek - but will not say when he might recall the goalkeeper to his Manchester City side.
City boss Pellegrini dropped the club's long-established number one (right) earlier this month after a period of inconsistent form in which he made a series of high-profile errors.
Despite that, Hart retained the faith of England manager Roy Hodgson and made a number of good saves in Tuesday's friendly loss to Germany at Wembley.
Pellegrini said: "I think Joe played as we know he can play. It was a very good performance. I am happy for him and I think it will be useful for him also."
Hart's display has led to suggestions he could return for City's home clash with Tottenham on Sunday.
Pellegrini, however, would give no indication whether the 26-year-old might feature or remain on the bench.
Long-serving deputy Costel Pantilimon has been preferred for the past two Premier League games and played four in succession in all competitions.
Pellegrini said: "We will see what happens in the future. This is for all the players, for us it is game by game."
Pellegrini's chief concern is making sure City get back to winning ways after defeat at Sunderland a fortnight ago.
With all four of their losses this season having come away, City are keen to protect their 100 per cent record at the Etihad Stadium but Spurs will pose a stern threat.
Pellegrini warned: "It is a tough match. I think they are a very good team."
