O'Shea told he's free to leave Brum on loan deal
Birmingham City manager Alex McLeish says that Ireland U21 cap James O'Shea will be allowed to leave the club on loan.
O'Shea made an instant impact when he joined Birmingham from Galway United last year when the Dubliner was handed a Premier League debut against Manchester United within weeks of his move. But he made only two more appearances for the St Andrews outfit that season and was sent on loan to Middlesbrough, where he managed to play just twice. O'Shea has not featured at all for the Blues this season and McLeish says that the Irishman, along with Enric Valles, is available to go out on loan.
"No-one is moving at the moment," McLeish said. "We are trying with one or two of the younger players like O'Shea and Valles. Championship and Football League clubs know about their availability."
