McGeady on transfer list
AIDEN McGEADY'S time in Russia appears to be at an end as Spartak Moscow have placed the Ireland international on the transfer list and banished him to the reserves after a falling-out with manager Valeri Karpin.
McGeady (pictured) was expected to leave the club next year as his contract runs out in June 2014 and he had declined an offer from Spartak to hold talks on a new deal, instead stating his desire to return to Britain.
But the former Celtic man and Karpin had, according to reports in Moscow today, a bitter row after the recent derby with CSKA Moscow, when Karpin reportedly criticised McGeady's fitness, and the player responded with his own criticism of Karpin.
The club have this week sent McGeady to train with the reserves as punishment and have also made it known that McGeady is available for transfer.
Spartak will now try and line up a deal to sell McGeady to an English club in the January transfer window.
