McCarthy bids for early deals
Wolves manager Mick McCarthy has revealed he hopes to hit the ground running when the transfer window opens this summer.
With survival already assured, it has given McCarthy a chance to start planning to strengthen his side earlier than he might have anticipated. Wolves made their big signing early last summer when they signed Kevin Doyle in a club record £6.5million deal from Reading.
McCarthy added: "It worked last year, but I don't know whether it will fall that way again.
"I'm just looking for players and we'll continue to try to get them. If it all falls into place it will be fantastic, but it might not."
