IRISH midfielder Chris McCann will begin his comeback from injury tonight with a game for Burnley's reserves.
Dubliner McCann played a major role in Burnley's promotion success last season and he was a key figure in their Premier League campaign this season, before a knee injury against Sunderland in September put him out of action.
He has been sidelined since then but Clarets boss Brian Laws hopes that McCann, along with fellow injury victims Martin Paterson and Jay Rodriguez will be able to line out tonight for the reserves against Hull.
"The sooner they get games under their belt the better because they're good players. We've got a reserve game against Hull so hopefully that will go ahead," he said.
"Let's hope that the weather is good so we can get that game; if not we'll have to try to get some games arranged. We need them in quick."
