Ireland international Sean Maguire has given Preston a boost by returning to full training with his team-mates following injury.
Maguire has missed the last 20 games for his club having undergone surgery on a hamstring problem last year, but the 23-year-old was fit to join in full training this week.
Preston boss Alex Neil has not yet set a date for the striker's return to the first team but the club, currently three points off the playoff places, hope that Maguire will be available for their promotion push.
Martin O'Neill is also keen to see Maguire in the green shirt again and the Kilkenny native should be fit for next month's friendly away to Turkey.
But David McGoldrick will play no part as he has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a groin injury.
