Maguire hopes for finals tilt
Seán Maguire hopes that Ireland's positive start to the Euro 2020 qualifiers will lead to qualification and a busy summer next year.
The striker is back in pre-season with Preston and will be on home soil next week as the Championship side play Cork City in a friendly on Monday, but Maguire is already looking ahead.
"In terms of getting results, Mick McCarthy has done brilliantly. Ten points from four games is exactly what we wanted," says Maguire.
"Hopefully next summer we want to be having no break at all, because we want to be involved in the European Championships.
"I have seen looking in from the outside what happens when the country gets to the Euros or World Cups - the country comes together and hopefully that's something I can be part of in the near future."
Ireland U19 cap Ali Reghba has completed his move to Leicester City from Bohemians.
He will hook up with his new team-mates at the Foxes after international duty in Armenia with the Ireland U19s at the European Championship finals next week. The Irish squad flyout on Tuesday.
"Everyone at Bohemians wishes Ali the very best of luck in his move and in Armenia with the U19s. He's a successful graduate of our U19s and underage system and we wish him the very best for the future," Bohs' boss Keith Long said.
