Madden sale talks 'up in air'
BOHEMIANS boss Pat Fenlon said that the club are still in talks with Celtic about a possible move for Ireland U21 star Paddy Madden, writes Aidan Fitzmaurice.
The Bhoys are keen to sign striker Madden and the clubs are close to agreeing a deal, but Madden has so far been unhappy with the personal terms offered by the Parkhead outfit and he may prefer to try and find a club in the Championship in England, so Fenlon confirmed that a deal has yet to be concluded.
"We're still talking to Celtic but nothing has been agreed. We're still at the talking stage and it's all up in the air," said Fenlon after Madden played for Bohs against Celtic under the eye of Bhoys boss Neil Lennon in a friendly at Dalymount Park yesterday.
"Paddy is keen to play abroad. I would like to hold on to him if I can. Any deal has to suit the club and suit the player. If it doesn't suit Paddy or Bohemians it won't happen. I don't want to lose Paddy, I want to keep all of our players. Celtic are still keen and they are interested in Paddy."
