LVG wins race for Falcao
Manchester United took their summer spending to more than £150m with the season-long loan capture of Radamel Falcao on deadline day.
The Colombia striker will cost United between £5m and £6m and the club have confirmed they will pay his wages. However, the Red Devils insist reports they will pay the striker almost £350,000 a week are wide of the mark.
United's back line needs just as much attention and the arrival of Ajax defender Daley Blind for £13.8m was another welcome addition.
United's have already acquired midfielder Ander Herrera, defenders Luke Shaw and Marcos Rojo and British-record signing Angel di Maria, while striker Javier Hernandez has joined Real Madrid on a season-long loan.

Given: Jack can hit 100
SHAY GIVEN believes that Aston Villa team-mate Jack Grealish has the ability to go on and win 100 caps - the Donegal man just p rays that it happens in the green shirt of Ireland and not the white kit of England.
Given, in line to win his 126th cap against Oman tomorrow after a recall to the Ireland squad, has seen Grealish up close at Villa.
The 18-year-old, who has been capped at U21 level by Ireland, is still undecided on his long-term international future but Given is desperate for the teenager to commit to Ireland.
"Jack's one of those players that could play over a hundred times for Ireland. He's one of those talented guys and you can see on the pitch that he's got it. He's a top player," says Given.
