Loreto's five-star display

Loreto SS Bray 5 Wilson's Hospital 0

LORETO Secondary School, Bray, moved one step closer to capturing their first Leinster title on Tuesday with a five-star performance in this last-16 clash.

The South-Dublin school produced a tremendous display to beat Wilson's Hospital School, Multyfarnham 5-0 in the last 16 of the FAI Schools First Year Girls Leinster Cup.

The home school, who have lost five Leinster finals, went into the game intent on revenge for an earlier Minor Cup defeat by their opponents -- which the majority of their side played in.

Sinead Horgan was the star of the show, bagging an impressive hat-trick to inspire her side.

The midfielder opened the scoring just 10 minutes in when she converted from the penalty spot.

The same player ensured her side went in 2-0 up at the break when she curled a 25-yard free-kick into the top corner.

Within two minutes of the restart, Bray had well and truly wrapped up the result as Horgan drove a low ball across the box for Zoe Shankland to finish.

The fourth goal arrived 10 minutes later when Horgan competed her impressive treble -- this time she fired in an even more impressive free kick from 30 yards.

Olivia Lee completed the scoring and put further gloss on the result when she finished from close range in the final stages.
