Lion O'Brien in injury blow
Ireland U21 cap Aiden O'Brien could miss out on a senior cap in the March friendly against Turkey after the striker was sidelined by injury.
The 24-year-old had scored four goals in his last three games for Millwall but he has suffered ankle ligament damage and will be out of action for a number of weeks.
That's a blow for O'Brien, who was called into the senior squad last year but has yet to be capped at senior level, has he was expected to make his senior debut in Turkey
"We're not going to be seeing Aiden through February, that's for sure," says Lions manager Neil Harris.
"We're looking at least at a six to eight-week period for Aiden and that takes us into March. It is disappointing for Aiden but for us as well.
"Aiden has shown some real quality and form in the last three to four weeks, probably since Aston Villa away he has been one of our most consistent performers and a real goal threat. He has been a big miss. It is a blow."
