Lennon: I'd work for free

Neil Lennon claims he would consider working for nothing in order to safeguard a club he managed.

With Old Firm rivals Rangers in administration and trying to find a way to survive, talks are ongoing about the severity of cuts administrators may make to the playing squad and general workforce.

Amid all the speculation, one report suggested that Light Blues boss Ally McCoist is willing to work for no wages until the end of the season.

Lennon, at Celtic Park where he was picking up his Clydesdale Bank Premier League manager of the month award for February, was asked if he too would work for free.

"I have bills to pay and kids to feed," said the Hoops manager.

"Would I do it? It would depend on the period of time that I would have to do it for and if I could get by then I would, yes."

Lennon takes his title-chasing side to Aberdeen today.
