ASTON VILLA boss Paul Lambert is convinced West Ham Christian Benteke will come back firing following his uncharacteristic recent misses.

The Belgian heads to Upton Park for tomorrow's English Premier League clash without a goal in his last three games and after having a penalty saved in last weekend's 2-0 home defeat by Everton.

But Lambert has full confidence in the quality of a striker who with his goals almost single-handedly kept Villa up last season, and insisted Benteke has not let his head drop.

The Scot said: "He's missed a couple of chances, so what?

"He'll come back and he'll score, I've got no worries with that whatsoever, I know if he gets a chance he'll score.

"There are not many times Christian doesn't score.

"I know what he's done for me, I know what he's done for the club, I know what he's done for the team.

"I wasn't going to let the odd couple of chances blight my vision of him. You pick him up, he goes again, in training he's been his normal self."
