Kicking out... Other famous days of rage

ERIC CANTONA - Cantona's kung-fu kick on a Crystal Palace fan at Selhurst Park in 1995 is one of the most infamous incidents in Premier League history.

The Frenchman, making his way off after being red-carded, flung himself at a fan. He received an eight-month ban and was fined a total of £30,000.

The Arsenal manager was sent to the stands by ref Mike Dean at Old Trafford after he kicked a water bottle in disgust in 2008. Wenger initially refused to concede his position, as United fans jeered.

A Dutch Cup match in 2011 was abandoned after 38 minutes when AZ Alkmaar keeper Esteban was red carded for kicking an Ajax fan. Estaban later had the card rescinded after it was revealed the fan had kicked him first.
