Kenny in battle cry ahead of Bray clash

STEPHEN KENNY has called on his team to deliver a performance tonight and beat Bray Wanderers at Tallaght Stadium.

After arguably their most complete performance of the season against FK Ekranas on Tuesday night, Kenny wants a repeat of the same desire and discipline but an improved result.

The Hoops suffered a disappointing 1-1 draw against Dundalk last week and must get three points to keep tabs on Sligo Rovers at the summit of the table.

With top-scorer Gary Twigg missing through suspension and players suffering from fatigue from Tuesday night, Kenny is looking for a battling performance from his team.

"It's a big game for us. Gary Twigg is suspended and we'll have a few tired limbs but we have to make sure that we are ready to go again," he said.

"It's a key game for us. I know we've got criticism and we've deserved the criticism, but I think here at home there haven't been many performances I haven't been happy with.

"We beat Shelbourne (by) four, Dundalk, six. We beat Bohemians here, all the performances were good.

"We did concede one or two last-minute goals at home, but it's been our form away from home that has been erratic.

"But this is a big game and we have to deliver again and try and get three points."
