Misfits qualify for champions league!

In the final round of matches in the Tuesday Night Leagues, teams were playing to claim their place in the round robin stages of the League. Champions League places were up for grabs in both groups as final standings were far from assured.

In Group 1, Misfits and Chubb shared 12 goals as the divided spoils was enough for Mifits to qualify for the Champions League while remarkably, Chubb were picking up their first point of the campaign.

Beamish and Blue Celtic were both vying for top spot and it was Beamish who held on to it after they beat Mavericks 10 -- 4 to cement their place for the next round.

Blue Celtic pushed them all the way but unfortunately for them they had to settle for second place in spite of a 10-0 win over M50 FC.

In Group 2 Heavenly Host, who have been outstanding throughout the league, came up against FC Twente with the winner knowing they were guaranteed a place in the Champions League section and a slightly more favourable draw.

FC Twente had the better of the opening exchanges and raced into a 4-1 lead with two goals from Adam and Sean Halpin and Paul Reid both adding one apiece.

Heavenly Host bounced back in impressive style reeling in their opponents and going on to post an 11- 6 victory.

Mixed Bag also started the day with an outside chance of qualifying for the Champions League stages but with Jimmy Adderley failing to convert a series of chances, they had to settle for a 6-6 draw with Gas Safe.

Mixed Bag will be thankful that goalkeeper Paul Keane was in inspired form to allow them to gain the point.

With the point Gas Safe leapfrogged Ajax 3 Down in the table and ensured a favourable draw for the Plate Section of the League.

Curry Stars claim that coveted last Champion's League spot thanks to a nervy 6-5 victory over The Bhoys in their Wednesday Night Group 1 clash.

Kn Fc will be biterally disappointed after securing an impressive win over Mayo, but goal difference from the previous six games let them down and they just missed out.
