Stephen Bradley believes that new Ireland call-up Jack Byrne is starting to show his real potential at Shamrock Rovers.

Mick McCarthy was among the crowd at Tallaght Stadium on Friday night where Byrne (22) capped off a stunning display with a goal in a 3-0 win over Sligo Rovers and last night he added Byrne to his senior squad.

Boss Bradley is delighted with how Byrne has started life in the league after his move from Kilmarnock.

"The pleasing thing for us is Jack fits in with the group, he works for the team but there is more to come from him," said Bradley. "I've seen him play for years and know there is more to come. He just needs to keep his head down. His quality is there."

Byrne was in the senior squad under Martin O'Neill but is uncapped at that level.
