Hunt in high demand
NOEL HUNT is in demand after a successful season with Championship side Reading, with both Ipswich Town and Portsmouth ready to bid for the Ireland international.
The 27-year-old recovered from injury to play a part in Reading's push for promotion last season and Hunt's form in that excellent run at the end of the campaign has been noted by other clubs.
Hunt is out of contract at the end of next season and Reading, who are building a new side capable of challenging for promotion to the Premier League next season, could decide to cash in and sell the Waterford man, especially if the Royals decide to hold on to their highly-rated striker Shane Long.
Ipswich have already made an inquiry about Hunt while Portsmouth could also make a formal bid for the ex-Shamrock Rovers man.
