Stoke boss Mark Hughes was at a loss to explain his team's display after seeing them stunned by Wolves in the FA Cup.

Wolves won an FA Cup tie for the first time in six years on Saturday as they progressed to the fourth round with a 2-0 victory at the bet365 Stadium.

Well-taken goals from Helder Costa and Matt Doherty, who sealed the upset 10 minutes from time with a lovely free-kick, gave Wolves a first success in the competition since 2011.

Hughes said: "We got what we deserved."

"I took two off at half-time, I could have taken four or five off," said Hughes, who replaced Giannelli Imbula and Bojan Krkic with Joe Allen and Charlie Adam for the start of the second half.

"I was certainly angry (at half-time)."
