Harte seeks Charlton contract
Ian Harte search for a new club continues as the Ireland defender is this week on trial at Championship side Charlton.
Harte, released by Sunderland at the end of last season,lined out for the Charlton reserves - managed by Mark Kinsella - in a 2-0 defeat to Millwall on Tuesday but boss Alan Pardew didn't reveal if he planned a contract offer for the player
"Ian did very well, he's an outstanding footballer. Whether I have any interest in him, I have nothing more to say," said Pardew Harte (31) was released from Sunderland by Roy Keane in May and has since had spells on trial at Watford, Sheffield United, Wolves, Leeds and Norwegian side Valerenga, as well as Charlton.
