Gunners must prove mettle against Barca superstars
IT'S do or die for Arsene Wenger against Barcelona -- and the burning question is whether the real Arsenal come out to play at the Emirates tonight.
"Last year was not the real Arsenal," claimed a defiant Wenger, who believes that the Gunners can beat Barcelona and after that, win the Champions League.
"We are in an ideal condition to face them. We cannot complain, we have the belief, the confidence and the players available in February," he said. "That was not the case last year."
Wenger added some spice to the mix when he rejected ex-Barca President Joan Laporta's claim that Arsenal lured Cesc Fabregas (above right) away from his natural home at the Camp Nou when he was too young to know better.
"Where do they get their players? Where does Messi (above left) come from? Barcelona? At what age did they take him? Twelve years old," said Wenger, who has no fears for his skipper.
"Cesc will approach it as he approaches every game - with a huge desire to win."
