ST PATRICK'S Athletic have confirmed the exit of goalkeeper Dave Ryan.

He joined the Saints from Limerick FC at the start of the season but made only one league appearance as Brendan Clarke was established as No. 1, and on the back of the signing of Rene Gilmartin from Plymouth, Ryan has opted to move on to join Cork City.

Meanwhile Pats are hopeful of landing striker Daryl Kavanagh from Cork. Kavanagh had a successful season with Pats but has since struggled to repeat that form with Shamrock Rovers and Cork, and Saints boss Liam Buckley is keen to tempt the forward back to Richmond Park.

Waterford United have signed Danny Furlong from Cork City on loan until the end of the season, while Marty Owens has left Sligo Rovers and joined Finn Harps on loan.

LIMERICK FC are delighted to have signed Ireland U19 cap Carel Tiofack.

The Cameroon-born player, who has played at underage level for Ireland, had a spell at Ipswich Town and was recently on the books of Cadiz in Spain but he was keen to return to Ireland and Limerick boss Stuart Taylor has added him to the squad.

"He's going to be a good addition," said Taylor. "He'll please the supporters, he's got a lot of quality on the ball and he's got something a little different to add to the squad. He has that little bit of quality in the final third and it's something that we're looking to add to the team."

SHELBOURNE have strengthened their squad with three more signings for John McDonnell's side.

Defender Brian Gannon joins from Drogheda United while Andrews returns to Dublin after a spell in the USA, and keeper Charlie Treacy has also agreed terms.

FORMER Ireland U21 cap Padraig Amond is joining Morecambe from their League Two rivals Accrington Stanley.

Amond had been on trial with Morecambe but is now close to a deal.
