Gers players meet administrators

RANGERS’ administrators have met with manager Ally McCoist and the players today.

They claim at this stage that there will be “no immediate cuts in the playing staff” but there will be a review of all staff in due course.

A spokesman also said players had not been asked to play without being paid.

Duff and Phelps took control of the Scottish champions on Tuesday after the club was forced into administration over an unpaid tax bill of £9m, accrued since Craig Whyte took control of Rangers in May last year.

Meanwhile Celtic defender Daniel |Majstorovic has won his appeal against his sending-off in Saturday’s Clydesdale Bank Premier League game against Inverness, the club have confirmed.

He will be in manager Neil Lennon’s squad for Sunday’s trip to Hibernian.
