Forrest fired up to sink Saints and go five clear
JAMES Forrest aims to help Celtic extend their winning run in the SPL to 12 games in their lunchtime kick-off against St Mirren in Paisley and go five points clear of Rangers, who play Aberdeen at Ibrox later today.
"I had a virus the last two weeks but I am back to normal," said Forrest. "I have trained all week and I'm feeling better.
"The players have done well the last two games and it is a big squad, but hopefully I can (get back into the side).
"It is a really good run that we are on and we want to build on that. The earlier kick-off is important as, if we get the three points, it maybe puts pressure onto them (Rangers). But it's down to us to get the three points. We just have to concentrate on our own game, that's the most important thing."
West Ham in Jelavic talks
Rangers have held informal talks with West Ham over top goalscorer Nikica Jelavic.
Ally McCoist confirmed that no formal offer has been received for the Croatian striker, who has netted 17 goals for the Scottish champions this season.
Rangers boss McCoist responded to reports claiming the Hammers had tabled a £6million offer, saying: "They have not made an official bid. The reported amount would not be enough to meet the demands of the owner."
