Doyler 'never lost spark'
STEPHEN WARD believes that his club-mate Kevin Doyle never lost his sparkle even when the striker went through a hard time at Wolves.
Doyle, who misses tonight's friendly against the Czech Republic due to injury, had been dropped for a spell by Mick McCarthy but has scored twice in his last three games for the Molineux club and Ward is delighted to see the Wexford man hitting the net again.
"Doyler is the same as he always was, even when things were not going well for him I don't think his head dropped," said Ward.
"It's not the case that Doyler was off-form but it was just the fact that Steven Fletcher was doing so well and scoring goals. Then in one game when Kevin wasn't in the team, we got a positive result and the team stayed unchanged for a while so Kevin had to settle for a place on the bench.
"But he knew he would get back into the team and he has done that. He's been outstanding for us and it's a real positive for Wolves that our strikers are coming into form."
