Darron's goal delight
DARRON Gibson celebrated his first Everton goal in his third game at Goodison with a nod to his former team mates at Old Trafford.
"It was nice all right. Obviously the lads at United will be happy but for us it was just the three points," laughed Gibson.
After seven years in Manchester United red, Gibson needed to make a statement of intent for his new club and he did that with a trademark thunderbolt that opened up the Premier League title race.
"I put me head down and struck through the ball. It took a deflection but I hit it hard enough and they all count," said Gibson. "We all went out and put a good shift in
Gibson is warming to his new home and his settling in period has been made short and sweet by the welcome he has received in Liverpool.
"All the lads have welcomed be brilliantly and made me feel at home. I think I've settled in very well," he added.
