Crumlin can win on road to Aviva

Leinster Senior League

The long road to the Aviva Stadium begins this weekend as the FAI Intermediate Cup gets underway.

This is the first time that the Inter Cup final will take place at the famous Dublin 4 venue.

One of the favourites to be walking out on to Aviva Stadium turf next May is Crumlin United and the LSL champions start their campaign with a home tie against TEK United.

This is the second time that TEK has clashed with Senior Division opposition in the space of a fortnight after the Stradbrook side was defeated by St. Pat's CY in the Herald Metropolitan Cup first round.

The Blues are back in their stride after a stuttering start. Martin Loughran's side took a couple of games to get going but have won their last two outings and should make it three in a row tomorrow.

MAYNOOTH TOWN v MALAHIDE UNITED

Maynooth will be lining up their second Senior Division scalp in a week when they face Malahide United tomorrow. The Kildare side dumped Bangor Celtic out of the Metro last week and Johnny Martin's side is well capable of repeating the trick when they take on a Malahide side that has struggled so far.Verdict: Home Win.

CRUMLIN UNITED v TEK UNITED

The Blues should advance with the minimum of fuss. Martin Loughran's side has regained their form in recent weeks and will move a round closer to the Aviva.Verdict: Home Win.

KILLESTER UNITED v ST JOSEPH'S BOYS

United missed an opportunity to go top of the Senior Division last weekend when losing to Bangor Celtic. The Saints could bear the brunt of the backlash. Verdict: Home Win.
