Crumlin can put Mun to sword

Two of the biggest names in amateur football collide tomorrow morning as Ballymun United and Crumlin United clash in the third round of the FAI Intermediate Cup.

This is the Mun's first Inter Cup campaign following their switch to intermediate football at the start of the campaign and their first competitive clash with Crumlin at this level.

Three leagues separate these two, but Crumlin, the LSL champions, will be wary of another top flight ambush by a lower league club. Five Senior Division clubs were dumped out in round two by lower league clubs and the Blues will be anxious not to join them.

Crumlin are eyeing up a day out in the Aviva next May, but boss Martin Loughran knows if his side take Ballymun lightly then they will be paying in at the gate of the famous stadium.
