Celtic track Sporting Fingal pair
CELTIC are keeping tabs on League of Ireland duo Shane McFaul and Ronan Finn after an impressive start to the season with Sporting Fingal.
The Bhoys are facing a massive rebuilding process after a disastrous season and the club's scouting network is earmarking potential players, even though it's unclear who will be their boss next season.
The club's Irish-based scouts have sent back positive reports on Fingal pair McFaul and Finn, who have both played a part in an impressive start to the season for Liam Buckley's side.
McFaul has already had two spells in Britain, with Notts County and Brighton, and although Finn has never played abroad, he has U21 caps.
Celtic signed Pat McCourt and Niall McGinn from League of Ireland side Derry City and the duo have since made 29 SPL appearances for the club.
"Things have gone well for me here at Fingal and I couldn't be happier. But if the chance came along and it was the right move, I'd love to go," said McFaul. "Gary Deegan, Keith Fahey and Paddy McCourt have done well across the water after playing in the league here. Players from here can go over and do well and I'd like to do the same," added McFaul, in line to play for Fingal against league leaders Dundalk tonight.
