Burnley set to make bid for Celtic striker Anthony Stokes
Ireland striker Anthony Stokes could be on his way to Burnley as the Clarets are the latest Championship side to show an interest in the Celtic man.
Stokes has a year left on his contract at Parkhead but he is out in the cold under Ronny Deila and is expected to leave before the transfer window closes at the end of the month. Stokes didn't even feature in the squad for the Bhoys' Champions League battle with Azerbaijan side Qarabag and it's possible that he has played his last game for the Scottish champions.
Leeds, Huddersfield, QPR and Reading were all linked with a move for Stokes but now Burnley boss Sean Dyche is reportedly lining up a move, as the Clarets have yet to sign a big-name striker to replace Danny Ings.
Stokes, 27, joined Celtic in 2010 and he has won four SPL titles with the club.
