Burnley boss to be patient with McCann
BURNLEY boss Brian Laws admits he will have to be patient before sending Irish midfielder Chris McCann back into action.
Former Home Farm man McCann has played just eight times for the Clarets this season due to injury. He started the Premier League season in the Burnley midfield but suffered a serious knee injury just six games into the season and was out of action for over three months.
He returned in January and played against Reading and Bolton but has not kicked a ball since due to a troublesome knee.
"Chris has still not got a game under his belt so it's hard to tell, although he is training on the training ground," said Laws/
"He's got a bit of bone bruising and you have to let nature take its course. Until it changes we'll be patient with it because he's a good player for this football club and the sooner we get him back the better."
