Bruce warns Villa
Aston Villa boss Steve Bruce has warned his players they have done nothing yet despite enjoying a good week.
Villa followed 4-2 Saturday's Sky Bet Championship victory over Norwich with a 4-1 EFL Cup dismissal of League One Wigan to further raise spirits after a testing start to the campaign.
However, Bruce is not getting carried away as he prepares for tomorrow's league trip to Bristol City.
He told a press conference: "When you have difficult weeks, the one thing that can put it right is the players. The response from them has been good. They have had a good week. But that's all it is. It's shown that in football, it can go from a crisis to euphoria all of a sudden. Let's not get too carried away. Let's see if we can get a good result at Bristol City.
"We have got to address the away form. It's hung over the club for years now. We have to sort it if we are to be successful in what we want to do."
City are without a league win since the opening day of the campaign, but edged past Premier League Watford into the third round of the League Cup with a 3-2 victory on Tuesday night.
