BRIGHTON'S Irish midfielder Gary Dicker has suffered a major blow with confirmation that he'll be out of action for at least three months.
The Dubliner was taken off towards the end of Monday's Championship defeat by West Ham.
"It has been confirmed that Gary Dicker suffered a fractured fibula against West Ham United," Brighton said in a statement.
"The 25-year-old will undergo an operation on Monday and is set to miss 12 to 14 weeks."
The injury is a cruel blow for the former UCD man who has worked his way up through the divisions in England.
Only last month, Dicker told the Herald that he hoped his form with Brighton could see him force his way into the Ireland squad.
