Having dominated the FAI Intermediate Cup for over a decade, Crumlin United and Avondale United meet at the Aviva Stadium today (2.0) to stake their claim as High Kings of amateur football.

The pair have shared ten Inter Cup titles between them in the last 13 seasons, making them the dominate forces on the national stage.

Crumlin head to the Aviva in sublime form. The Blues are newly crowned LSL champions and are 24 games into an unbeaten run in the top-flight as they lifted their first Senior Division crown in five campaigns.

The Blues return to an Inter Cup final for the first time since winning back-to-back titles at this venue in 2016 and that experience of the wide-open expanses of the Aviva could pay dividends.

Avondale won six titles in eight seasons, including four in a row between 2011 and 2014. This is Dale's first final since and their first trip to the Aviva. Like previous sides, they could be overawed.
