Blackpool draw to restore faith!

Okay first things first. Sometimes you just have to hold your hands up and claim almost insanity and this week the Betting Book opens with a dose of humble pie. Tipping Arsenal and Blackpool to be a draw couldn't have been further from accuracy, but it's not a mistake we plan on making again.

Chelsea nearly saved us as the Betting Book recommended a 5-0 win at 16/1 only for them to bang in a sixth which added the final nail to the coffin although the total match goals to be over 4.5 was also put forward as a stand out bet.

Now that's the grovelling done, the only way to bounce back is to get a few right and if we start with Chelsea, they should have no problem in continuing the goal surge at home to Stoke.

Chelsea to win -4 goals in the handicap is probably worth taking on and a 5-0 win is a 10/1 chance and it really is hard to see them score any less the way they are going and the confidence that brings. Arsenal travel to Blackburn for what will be a tricky tie but the Gunners should still see it out with ease and -2 goals in the handicap looks the one at 17/4.

Manchester United slipped up at Craven Cottage, a place that is beginning to haunt them but with a home tie against West Ham this weekend, the Red Devils can surely produce the goods and Wayne Rooney is unlikely to be left on the sidelines for a second weekend in a row. Liverpool left it late last night and may just suffer from the after effects. Roy Hodgson's side should win but take them to do it by no more than a single goal at 11/4.

'The Champions League' have been three of the most popular words around White Hart Lane this week and after a fine win over Young Boys on Wednesday, Tottenham should have no problem seeing off Wigan tomorrow. Gareth Bale is in superb form and him to score and Spurs to win is a 3/1 chance. Despite the thrashing of last weekend the Betting Book is going to rely on Blackpool to do us a favour tomorrow and steal a draw in their first home game of the season against Fulham at 9/4 - not a bet for accumulators or the like, however.
