Andrews' Blackburn lifeline
KEITH ANDREWS has been told that he can play a part at Blackburn Rovers, if a deal is not done to sell the Ireland international during the transfer window.
Andrews has impressed on loan at Ipswich Town after falling out of favour at Ewood Park under Steve Kean, but the Dubliner is now back at Blackburn as his loan deal expired. Andrews last year said that he saw no future for himself at the club under Kean.
"Keith is now in dialogue with the club, he was in dialogue with the directors. I think there'll be interest from other places for Keith," said Kean.
"He's gone away and had a good loan spell but he's still got 18 months on his contract here. If nothing happens then he's still under contract.
"The fact he's been out, played well, scored goals - and before that done well in internationals, he'll be a part of things for us moving forward - if he doesn't move.
"I don't know if we will be asking for a fee for him. I pass that on to the directors to negotiate the exit or the purchase. I've got other things on my plate at the moment."
